Rhode Island’s first web design agency bottomfeeder LABS was founded in 1993 by Gary DelPonte in Providence, RI, when NCSA Mosaic (Netscape Navigator), the world’s first web browser, was released, and the concept of having a website on the world wide web was considered radical.
Our early experience was appreciated by regional companies who wanted to take advantage of this new innovation called the world wide web. We worked with local ISPs, ad agencies, TV and radio stations, Roger Williams College, Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation, Rhode Island Monthly magazine, Coffee Kids, Bugaboo Creek, AFC Cable Systems, Pfizer Corporation and many more, to bring their presence online for the first time.
Our multidisciplinary background allowed us to service clients across all platforms of communication worldwide. Depending upon our client’s specific message and audience, we developed solutions for web, mobile, interactive multimedia, animation, broadcast television, live theater, electronic signage, music and print. And all of the above in a variety of 147 languages.
